Creative Thursday ~ recap and a little nap

Well, if you were keeping track of last year's New Years resolution, I hit it by exactly half plus one. 27 pages (not including a few digital birthday invites and our Christmas Card) on the year under a goal of 52. I can remember when I would create 50 in a quarter! So I will rerun my scrapbooking resolution: goal of creating 52 in a year and, as much as possible, scrapping boy then girl, boy then girl, and so on. My other scrapbooking goals are to get my camera fixed, to send out my broken lens, and to go back to taking more closeups - with my camera! I've found that those truly are my favorite to scrapbook, and I take almost all my pics from my phone unless it's a special event.

So while I'm thankful the rest of my life is pretty balanced, I'm looking forward to a little more scrapbook time. For now, I'll kick off 2013 with my last page of 2012.

(Welcome, if you're coming from SOS and True XoXo scrapbooking!)

Creative Weekend! ~ Birthday Blog Hop

Hey all! Guess what? All about fun this weekend! I'm guessing Beautiful Birthday Buddy Blog Hop is a few too many words, so we'll just say:

Welcome to the If It's Groovy Blog Hop! The girls from True XoXo Scrapbooking have banded together with the Groovy Gals to bring you this fun and exciting blog hop. We're going to take you thru the whole year, and then some!

I selected MAY as my month - and the first thing May makes me think of is Mother's Day. I thought of this precious picture of McKenna & I (photograph by Christine Gigante) that I've had for two years. Even though it was taken in December, I applied a general Mother's Day theme to it as a page of record.

sorry for the pic. will try to get outside to snap a better one soon.
Mother's Day by Lindsey Krauss. Supplies: Paper: My Mind's Eye, Cloud9Design, Cardstock: Making Memories, Bazzill Basics, Glitter: Stickles, Brads: Pink Paislee, Chipboard: Colorbok, Other: buttons, flower, chip word.
Journaling: picture taken on: Dec. 12, 2010 -- these are some things that we've done on Mother's Day: Butterfly Garden, brunch at West Point, tea party at school, lunch at Goshen Diner, Camping at Round Lake.

***There will be lots of prizes along the way, but I can personally guarantee at least two guest spots on the True XoXo design team for anyone who comments on ALL the blogs, including True XoXo's.***

Here is all the fun! You're on your own ride this weekend, so make sure you hit every blog! Each blog should have all the links so you won't get lost along the way. Have fun!

Creative Thursdays ~ Fashion Faux Pas!

Happy New Year! That doesn't exactly mean so much to me, but I do like it when people are generally smiling, celebrating and bringing glad tidings of joy. :) I don't really "do" resolutions - if I can't make changes daily, I'm certainly not going to do them on January 1. Anyhow, I did have one last year - that was to scrap 52 pages, or one a week. I think I only scrapped half that, but that's something anyway.

This was my last one of 2012: a little crazy, a little groovy! Our inspiration was supplies from all one manufacturer, or line. I couldn't get letters from the line, but everything else is. I think style counts as snobby, too! Check it out here:

Fashion Faux Pas by Lindsey Krauss. Supplies:
Paper, clear stickers, cardstock stickers, clear cuts: Little Yellow Bicycle,
Letters: American Crafts, Twiddleybitz.
Journaling (hidden):
black fedora? check.
peace sign umbrella? check.
two-tone pink striped tank? check.
purple leopard sweatshirt? check.
fluffy pink dog purse? check.
rainbow striped shorts. check.
no socks? check.
Z-strap sneakers? check.
Fashion? still looking for that...
McKenna, you've got a style all your own, and we love that about you!
